# Accept an invitation

> This page is about FlutterFlow (the app builder you use by describing your app), not FlutterFlow Studio.

URL: https://docs.flutterflow.io/ffx/accept-an-invitation

Join a teammate's app from your invitation link, or accept or decline an invitation on Home or in the account menu.

Accept an invitation to join a teammate's app with the [role](https://docs.flutterflow.io/ffx/glossary#role) an owner assigned you, and open the app in FlutterFlow.

Sign in with the email address that the invitation was sent to.

## From the invitation link {#accept-from-the-link}

Open the invitation link in your browser, and then do the step that matches your account:

- **No FlutterFlow account:** click **Create an account**, and sign up with the invited email address (see [Sign up](https://docs.flutterflow.io/ffx/create-account#create-your-account)). Signing up accepts the invitation.
- **Signed out of an existing account:** click **Sign in to accept**, and sign in with the invited email address.
- **Already signed in:** click **Accept invitation**.

FlutterFlow opens the app.

## From inside FlutterFlow {#accept-in-flutterflow}

When you sign in with the invited email address, your invitation appears in four places inside FlutterFlow:

- **Home:** near the top of **Home**, a banner shows "You’re invited to" and the app's name. Click **Review** to open **Invitations**, which lists each app, the inviter, your assigned role, and the expiration date.
- **The account menu:** a dot on your avatar indicates a pending invitation. The menu displays the newest invitation. See [Account menu](https://docs.flutterflow.io/ffx/tour#account-menu).
- **A notice:** when a new invitation arrives, a notice shows "You’re invited to" and the app's name. Click **View** to open the list on **Home**.
- **The app's own page:** opening a direct link to the app before you accept shows "You're invited to" and the app's name, with **Accept** and **Decline**.

Click **Accept** to join and open the app.

### Verify your email {#verify-to-respond}

If your email address isn't verified, FlutterFlow displays **Verify email** instead of **Accept** and **Decline**:

1. Click **Verify email**. FlutterFlow sends a verification link to your email address and changes the button to **Resend**.
2. Open the verification link in your email, and return to FlutterFlow. **Accept** and **Decline** now appear.

Alternatively, open the invitation link directly, which doesn't require a verified email address (see [From the invitation link](#accept-from-the-link)).

## Decline {#decline-an-invitation}

To decline an invitation, find it on **Home**, in the account menu, or on the app's page, and click **Decline**.

Declining cancels all pending invitations from that app to your email address. To join later, ask an owner for a new invitation.

## Troubleshooting {#if-something-goes-wrong}

For an expired link, a link for another email address, or an invitation that you can't find, see [Troubleshoot teamwork](https://docs.flutterflow.io/ffx/troubleshoot-teamwork).
