# Add to Play Console

> This page is about FlutterFlow (the app builder you use by describing your app), not FlutterFlow Studio.

URL: https://docs.flutterflow.io/ffx/add-to-play-console

Create your app in Play Console with the details that FlutterFlow gives you, then upload its first Google Play file to Internal testing yourself.

Create your app in Play Console and upload its first file so FlutterFlow can find the app and you can move on to testing.

First, an owner connects your Google Play developer account and saves your App ID. See [Connect Google Play](https://docs.flutterflow.io/ffx/connect-google-play) and [App details](https://docs.flutterflow.io/ffx/app-details).

## Create the app {#create-the-app}

To create your app in Play Console:

1. In [**Releases**](https://docs.flutterflow.io/ffx/glossary#releases), on the **Google Play** card, click **Continue**.

   The step **Add *your app* in Play Console** opens.
1. Click **Open Play Console**.
1. In Play Console, select **Create app**.
1. Enter the details that FlutterFlow lists. Where a value has a copy button, use it to copy the value.

   | Field in FlutterFlow | What FlutterFlow lists |
   | --- | --- |
   | **App name** | Your **Project name** from the store listing. |
   | **Default language** | Your app's default language. |
   | **App or game** | **App** |
   | **Free or paid** | **Free** |
   | **Contact email** | The support email from your store listing. |
   | **App ID** | Your App ID. If Google asks for a package name, enter it. |
1. On the same form, accept Google's policies, export declarations, and Play App Signing terms.
1. Select **Create app** again.

FlutterFlow shows the **Store account** that the app goes in. Create the app in that account's Play Console. Moving the app to another account later requires an app transfer.

## Upload the first file {#upload-the-first-file}

The **Then upload the first app file** part of the step gives you the file that Play Console accepts for your app's first release.

To upload the file:

1. Click **Prepare Android app**, and wait while **Preparing the Android app…** shows.
1. Click **Download Google Play file** to download the `.aab` file.
1. In Play Console, open **Internal testing**, create a release with this file, and complete it.
1. Return to the step in FlutterFlow. While the step is open, FlutterFlow looks for your app in Play Console.

**Result:** When FlutterFlow finds your app, the step shows **App found.** To return to Google Play's steps, click **Continue**. Next, [send a version to testers](https://docs.flutterflow.io/ffx/send-to-testers).

## Why you upload it yourself {#why-upload-the-first-file}

Google accepts an app's first file only in Play Console, so you upload it there once. FlutterFlow sends every file after it.

## Troubleshooting {#if-something-goes-wrong}

For help with setting up the stores, see [Troubleshoot phone builds and store releases](https://docs.flutterflow.io/ffx/troubleshoot-releases).
