# Tools for the agent

> This page is about FlutterFlow (the app builder you use by describing your app), not FlutterFlow Studio.

Connect your own accounts at other services so the agent can use them in threads that you start, in any of your apps, and choose what it can do with them.

Connect your own accounts at other services in **Account › Connections**, so the agent can use them when it works in threads that you start, in any of your apps.

**Account › Connections** lists these services: Airtable, ClickUp, Granola, Jotform, Linear, Miro, monday.com, Notion, Stripe, Tally and Wix.

## Connect an account {#connect}

To connect one of your accounts for the agent:

1. Open the account menu, and then select **Connections**.
2. Find the service, and then turn on its switch.
3. Sign in to your account on the service's page.

After you sign in, FlutterFlow returns you to the page that you started from. The service's card shows **Connected as you**, a **Permissions** button and a switch.

## Connect when the agent asks {#when-the-agent-asks}

When the agent needs a service from **Account › Connections** in a thread that you started, it can ask you to connect the service in the thread. The request names the service and offers one of these actions, plus **Not now** to skip connecting:

- **Connect**, followed by the service's name: sign in to the service. After you sign in, you return to the thread, and the agent continues.
- **Reconnect**: if your sign-in to the service ended, sign in again.
- **Continue**: use the account that you already connected.

## Permissions {#permissions}

Each account that you connect has its own permissions, which apply in every app. To change them:

1. In **Account › Connections**, click **Permissions** on the service's card.
2. For each action, select **Always**, **Ask first**, or **Never**.

By default, actions that only read run without asking, and actions marked **Makes changes** or **May delete or overwrite** ask first. **Always** isn't available for actions marked **May delete or overwrite**. When an action is set to **Ask first**, the agent waits for your approval in the thread. For what each setting does and how to answer an approval, see [Agent permissions](https://docs.flutterflow.io/ffx/agent-permissions).

## Who can use connections {#who-can-use}

The accounts that you connect in **Account › Connections** belong to you, not to an app:

- They work in every app that you work on, so you connect each account once.
- The agent uses them only in threads that you start. Your teammates' threads can't use them, so each teammate connects their own accounts.
- Your app never uses them. To let your app use a service, an owner connects it in **Project Settings › Connections**. See [Connect a service](https://docs.flutterflow.io/ffx/connect-a-service).

For how the two kinds of connection differ, see [How connections work](https://docs.flutterflow.io/ffx/connections#two-kinds).

## Reconnect or disconnect {#reconnect-or-disconnect}

If your sign-in to a service ends, its card in **Account › Connections** shows **Needs reconnecting**. Click **Reconnect**, and then click **Sign in to** followed by the service's name.

To reconnect or disconnect an account that's connected:

1. On the service's card in **Account › Connections**, click its options menu .
2. Select **Reconnect** or **Disconnect**.
3. If you selected **Disconnect**, confirm by clicking **Disconnect**.

You can also turn off the service's switch, and then confirm.

After you disconnect an account, the agent stops using it in every app. You can connect it again at any time.

## Troubleshooting {#if-something-goes-wrong}

- For a service that shows **Needs reconnecting**, see [A service shows Needs reconnecting](https://docs.flutterflow.io/ffx/troubleshoot-connections#needs-reconnecting).
- For an approval that expired before you answered it, see [An approval expired](https://docs.flutterflow.io/ffx/troubleshoot-connections#approval-expired).
