# Release status

> This page is about FlutterFlow (the app builder you use by describing your app), not FlutterFlow Studio.

URL: https://docs.flutterflow.io/ffx/release-status

See where your app stands in each store: the Releases page and its store cards, the four stages, each version's status, and In the stores on Overview.

[**Releases**](https://docs.flutterflow.io/ffx/glossary#sharing-and-releases) shows where your app stands in the App Store and Google Play, and your app's **Overview** repeats it under **In the stores**.

## Who sees it {#who-sees-it}

Owners and developers see each store's status in **Releases**. For anyone else on the app, **Releases** says "Only owners and developers can see releases for now." and shows **Owners and developers send versions from here**, with **Open Overview**. On their app's **Overview**, **In the stores** shows the same line, with no stores.

## The Releases page {#releases-page}

The **Releases** page holds these parts, from top to bottom:

| Part | What it shows |
| --- | --- |
| Header line | "Get *app name* into the App Store and Google Play." It appears only until a store is past the **Set up** stage, and names only the stores that are turned on for the app. |
| The bar | The next send that moves a [version](https://docs.flutterflow.io/ffx/glossary#sharing-and-releases), with **Send to testers** or **Send for review**. It shows the version's number, or **Next** for a version that FlutterFlow hasn't prepared yet, and appears only when there's a version to send. If **Store listing** is missing something that review needs, the bar says so, such as "Add a privacy policy link first. You can add it as you send." |
| A card for each store | Where the store stands, whose move it is, the four stages, and the card's one button. Select the card's header to open that store's details. See [Store cards](#store-cards). |
| **Store listing** | Your app's icon, name, and description ("No description yet." when it has none). After a store is past setup, it also says what review still needs, such as "Add a description before review". Select it to open your [app details](https://docs.flutterflow.io/ffx/app-details). |
| **Versions** | Every version that FlutterFlow prepared, and where each one is in each store. See [The Versions table](#versions). |

## Stages {#stages}

Each store moves through the same four [stages](https://docs.flutterflow.io/ffx/glossary#sharing-and-releases) on its own. For what happens in each stage, see [How releasing works](https://docs.flutterflow.io/ffx/how-releasing-works#stages).

| Stage | The store is here while |
| --- | --- |
| **Set up** | You create your developer account, connect FlutterFlow, and add your app in App Store Connect or Play Console. |
| **Test** | A version is on its way to your testers through TestFlight or Google Play. |
| **Review** | You answer the store's own questions in its console, and then the store reviews the version. |
| **Live** | The version is out in the store. |

On a store's card, the stages that are done show a check, and the current stage's label is bold, with its bar colored to show whose move it is.

## Store cards {#store-cards}

Each store's card shows where the store stands in a few words and, under that, one more line. When there's more to say, select the info icon next to that line to see the rest, including the store's own words when it sent any. The card's footer says whose move it is:

| Footer | What it means |
| --- | --- |
| **Your move** | The next step is yours. The card's button takes it. |
| **Your move · 2 steps left** | The store is in setup, and this many setup steps are left. |
| **Your move · once per account** | Google Play is waiting for you to apply for production access in Play Console. You apply once per Google Play account. |
| **With Apple** or **With Google** | The store has the next move, such as a review. The footer adds the day it started, such as **With Apple · since Mon**. |
| **With FlutterFlow** | FlutterFlow has the next move, such as uploading the version to the store. |
| **Needs a fix** | Something needs your attention. The card's line says what, in the store's words when it sent any. |
| **Live** | The version is live in the store. The footer may add the day, such as **Live since Sep 9**. |
| **Submitted** | Google Play took the version but hasn't said it's out to everyone. |
| **Testers have it** | Your testers have the version. |
| **Off for this app** | The store is turned off in the app's **Steps for this app**. The card keeps its place, with **Turn on**. See [Turn steps on or off](https://docs.flutterflow.io/ffx/road-to-launch#steps-for-this-app). |
| **Not up to date** | FlutterFlow couldn't read the store. The card says "Couldn’t load the App Store" or "Couldn’t load Google Play", with **Try again**. |

When the bar holds the store's next send, the card's footer says **Send from the bar above** instead of showing a button. While a store works on a newer version, a chip beside the store's name shows what's already out, such as **1.0 live**.

A card shows lines such as these:

| Card line | When it shows |
| --- | --- |
| "Not on the App Store yet" or "Not on Google Play yet" | The store needs your developer account first. The button says **Set up**, or **Continue** after you've started. |
| "Apple is checking your account" or "Google is checking your account" | You signed up for a developer account, and the store is checking it. |
| "1.0 is ready for testers" | The version can go to your testers. The line under it says how testers install it, such as "Testers install it with TestFlight." |
| "1.0 is ready for review" | Your testers have the version, and you can submit it for review. |
| "1.0 is live" | The version is live. The line under it says "Anyone can download it from the App Store." or "Anyone can download it from Google Play." |
| "Not on the App Store" or "Not on Google Play" | The store is turned off for this app. The line under it says "Turn it on to send each version there too." |

To send a version, see [Send to testers](https://docs.flutterflow.io/ffx/send-to-testers) and [Submit for review](https://docs.flutterflow.io/ffx/submit-for-review).

## A store's details {#store-details}

Select a store card's header to open that store's details. The details show whose move it is, where the store stands, and the four stages as stops in order. The current stop holds its steps, such as the setup steps or the store's own words. A stop that's done shows one fact, such as how many testers you have. Some stops show more when you select them. The button for the next step is at the bottom.

## The Versions table {#versions}

The **Versions** table lists every version that FlutterFlow prepared, newest first. It has a **Version** column and a column for each store that's turned on for the app.

- **Version** shows the version's number and a line about it, such as how many changes it has since the version before it and when FlutterFlow prepared it.
- A **Next** row appears at the top while your app has pushed changes that no version has yet. Under the table, a line says "Not sent to testers yet." or, while FlutterFlow prepares it, "Preparing the next version for testing."
- Select a row to open that version. See [A version's details](#version-details).

### Version statuses {#version-statuses}

Each store's column shows one of these statuses for each version:

| Status | What it means |
| --- | --- |
| **Not sent yet** | The version hasn't gone to this store. |
| **Preparing app** | FlutterFlow is preparing the app for this store. |
| **Preparation failed** | FlutterFlow couldn't prepare the app. |
| **Uploading** | FlutterFlow is uploading the version to the store. |
| **Processing** | Apple is processing the version for TestFlight. |
| **Upload failed** | The upload to the store didn't work. |
| **Internal testing** | Google Play has the version on its internal test, not yet with the testers that **Send to testers** reaches. |
| **Draft · rollout required** | Google Play holds the version as a draft. Start the rollout in Play Console. |
| **Ready for testing** | Your testers have the version, and it's the one you can submit for review. |
| **Action required** | Apple needs something from you in App Store Connect. |
| **In review** | Apple is reviewing the version. |
| **In Play Console** | The version was submitted to Google Play. Check its release status in Play Console. |
| **Changes requested** | The store sent the version back with changes to make. See [Fix a version Apple sent back](https://docs.flutterflow.io/ffx/apple-requested-changes). |
| **Submission blocked** | The store refused the submission. |
| **Live** | The version is live on the App Store. |
| **Submitted to Google Play** | Google Play has the version. |
| **Earlier** | The version is older than the one the store has ready. |
| **Replaced** | A newer version is out in this store. |

The Google Play column never says **Live**. Its last status is **Submitted to Google Play**. The Google Play card says when a version is live, if Google reports it. To see whether a version is available, check Play Console.

## A version's details {#version-details}

When you select a version, its details show:

- The version's number and title, such as "1.0 · Booking reminders", or "Next · Booking reminders" for the version that FlutterFlow hasn't prepared yet. When your app has more than one version, select the title to switch to another.
- Whose move it is: **Your move**, **Needs a fix**, **In progress**, **Live**, or **With testers**.
- Where the version is, such as **Ready for testers** or **Ready for review**, or **Not with testers yet** for the next version.
- Where the version is in each store, and a row for each change that it has. Select a change to open its thread.
- The send that moves the version on, at the bottom.
- **Go back to this version**, for an earlier version that you can go back to. See [Earlier versions](https://docs.flutterflow.io/ffx/go-back).
- **Files** in the version's **Options** menu, when it has files to download. See [Download your app's files](https://docs.flutterflow.io/ffx/app-files).

## In the stores on Overview {#in-the-stores}

On your app's **Overview**, **In the stores** shows each store that's past setup. Each store shows its status for the version it has ready, with the version's number, such as "Ready for testing · 1.2", and a small bar for each step:

| Store | Steps |
| --- | --- |
| App Store | **Made**, **Testing**, **In review**, **Live** |
| Google Play | **Made**, **Testing**, **Out** |

Google Play's last step is **Out**, not **Live**. If a store needs a fix, it says what instead. Select a store to open its details in **Releases**.

A store that's still in setup appears under **Not set up yet** instead, with its next step.

## Refresh {#check-the-stores-again}

While the **Releases** page is open, FlutterFlow reads the stores again when a new build reaches a store, when you come back to the page, and every few minutes while a store is deciding on something, such as a review. To read the stores right away, for example after you change something in App Store Connect or Play Console, select **Releases options** › **Check the stores again**.
