If you see a black screen with no device pictured (example below):
Please follow these steps:
Right-click in the middle of the screen (where the device is usually shown) and select Reload Frame.
If this does not work, try changing the device (left side of your screen).
If this does not work, try refreshing the page.
I see a loading spinner in run mode, how do I fix this?
If you see a loading spinner in run mode then please try to run the application once again after updating your project's Firestore rules.
Here are the steps to update Firestore rules:
Go to Firestore and then select Settings.
Copy the Firestore rules by selecting the copy icon (
Next, go to Firebase console and open you application. You can do this using the project list dropdown (
Select Firestore Database (
) and then select the Rules tab.
Paste the copied rules(from FlutterFlow) there.
Now return to FlutterFlow and re-run your project
My app is starting from HomePage after logging in once in the Run Mode
If you face this issue then here are the instructions that you can follow to fix this.
Clear your browser cache and history.
Change browser or use incognito/private browsing mode.
How to check for data mismatch errors?
The best practice would be to populate the Firestore database by using the FlutterFlow's in-built Content Manager.
But in case of data mismatch issues, you can check the data fields present in Firestore collection with FlutterFlow's Firestore schema and compare each field individually and make sure that their type matches.
In the above picture documentType field in FlutterFlow is a Doc reference whereas in Firestore it is set to string. And hence to resolve this issue, documentType field can be changed to String in FlutterFlow.
