Agent cards

This page lists the cards that the agent shows in a thread, with each card’s label, buttons, and the page that covers it.

Cards that need an answer

A card that asks you for something appears above the message box until you settle it. Only the person who started the thread can answer it. On a teammate’s thread, the label adds that person’s first name, such as Question for Alex, and the card says “Only Alex can answer. You can follow along.”

The following table lists the cards that ask you for something.

Label What it asks for Buttons See
Question A choice between options The options, Let the agent choose, Stop here Answer a question
Choice A design direction, shown as pictures of your app’s screens Such as Show in stage, Use followed by the direction’s name, Stop here, and any other answer the agent offers Design directions
Proposal Your go-ahead before the agent makes a change The card’s own buttons, such as Build it and Not now Answer a proposal
Private An App Store Connect or Google Play key, or another private value such as an API key For a store key, Continue or Change when your app already uses an account; otherwise a saved account to choose or a new key to connect; Not now. After you push a long thread, a Suggestion card can appear in the same place: Start what’s next in a new thread, with Start a new thread and Not now. See Long threads.

After you answer

When you settle a card that asks you for something, the thread shows a row in its place. The following table lists these rows.

Row Meaning
Answered Your answer follows.
The agent chose You selected Let the agent choose, and the agent’s recommended option follows.
Left to the agent You selected Let the agent choose on a question with no recommended option.
Not answered You didn’t answer, such as when you selected Stop here, skipped a Private, Connect, or Setup card with Not now or Skip, or sent a message instead of using a Connect, Setup, or Approval card.

For more about these rows, see Agent questions.
