Troubleshoot pushing
Use this page when a push doesn’t start, doesn’t finish, or doesn’t appear where you expect. For how to push, see Push.
Push to your app is missing or unavailable
The Push to your app button appears in a thread only to the person who started the thread, and only when the thread has unpushed changes. When the button is unavailable, point to it to see the reason. Clicking the button opens the push confirmation, titled Push these changes to your app? (on a phone, Push followed by the number of changes, such as Push 2 changes?). On a phone, the button reads Push and sits on the card that counts your changes, such as 2 changes not in your app, and the card doesn’t appear while the agent is working. The following table describes each case.
| What you see | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| No Push to your app button appears, and the thread’s status says in your app. | Every change in this thread is already in your app. | To make more changes, send another message in the thread. |
| No button appears, and the thread says “You’re watching this conversation as it happens.” | Someone else started this thread, and only the thread’s creator can push it. | Start your own thread for your changes. |
| The button is unavailable, and its tip says “The agent is working; push when it is done.” | The agent is working in this thread. | Wait for the turn to end, or click Stop to end it now, and then push. |
| The button is unavailable, and its tip names another thread and says it “is being pushed; one goes at a time.” | Your app accepts one push at a time, and another thread’s push is running. | Wait for that push to finish, and then push. |
| The button reads Push waits for your answer. | The push’s turn ended before pushing, for example after the agent asked you something. | To continue the push, answer the agent’s question in the thread. Otherwise, click Cancel, and then click Push to your app. |
| The button reads Pushing to your app. | FlutterFlow is pushing this thread. | Wait for the Push card in the thread to show the outcome, or click Cancel to withdraw the push before it reaches your app. |
| Clicking Push to your app opens your allowance options instead of the push confirmation. | Your allowance is used up or paused, so nothing was pushed. | See Out of allowance. |
| In the push confirmation, Push is unavailable, and the confirmation doesn’t say This removes data from your app. | FlutterFlow is checking what the push changes in your app’s backend. | Wait a moment, and then click Push. |
| In the push confirmation, Push is unavailable, and the confirmation says This removes data from your app. | The push removes data from your app. | Select Remove it, and then click Push. Or click Not now and ask the agent for a different change. |

“Another thread is being pushed to your app.”
What it means: Your app accepts one push at a time, and another thread’s push is running. This message appears if you click Push in the push confirmation at the moment that another thread’s push starts.
Fix it:
- Wait for the other push to finish. While it runs, the tip on Push to your app names that thread.
- Click Push to your app, and then click Push.
“The agent is still working.”
What it means: The agent is working in this thread or waiting for your answer, so you can’t push the thread or bring in another thread’s push yet. This message appears when you click Push in the push confirmation or click Bring it in now.
Fix it:
- Wait for the turn to end, answer the agent’s question, or click Stop to end the turn now.
- To push, click Push to your app, and then click Push. To bring in another thread’s push, click Bring it in now.
“This thread is already being pushed.”
What it means: FlutterFlow is already pushing this thread.
Fix it:
- Wait for the Push card in the thread to show the outcome.
“This thread is already in your app.”
What it means: This thread’s push already finished, so nothing remains to push or cancel. This message appears if you click Cancel after the push finishes.
Fix it:
- Check that the Push card says “Pushed to your app”. To make more changes, send another message in the thread.
“These changes could not be pushed”
What it means: The push stopped before changing your app. The Push card states the reason.
Fix it:
-
Read the reason on the Push card.
Push2:14 PMThese changes could not be pushedThe platform did not say why.Your app is unchanged. -
Reply in the thread to ask the agent to fix the problem.
“Pushing was stopped”
What it means: The agent stopped before pushing your changes, and your app is unchanged. If the agent gave a reason, the Push card shows it after Reason given.
Fix it:
- If the Push card shows a reason, read it.
- Reply in the thread to ask the agent to fix the problem, and then wait for the turn to end.
- Click Push to your app.
“Your app did not take these changes”
What it means: Your app refused the push’s backend settings, and the agent is changing them so that it can push again.
Fix it:
- Wait for the Push card to show the outcome.
“Pushing did not finish”
What it means: The turn ended before the push finished.
Fix it:
- Push again. If the button reads Push waits for your answer, click Cancel first, and then click Push to your app.
“This thread already has everything in your app.”
What it means: You clicked Bring it in now or Later on the Your app card, but this thread already includes every push in your app.
Fix it:
- Continue working in the thread.
“This thread is being pushed, which brings it in.”
What it means: You clicked Bring it in now while FlutterFlow is pushing this thread. Pushing brings in your app’s latest changes automatically.
Fix it:
- Wait for the Push card to show the outcome.
“This thread can’t bring it in right now.”
What it means: You clicked Bring it in now, and FlutterFlow couldn’t start bringing in the other pushes.
Fix it:
- Wait a moment, and then click Bring it in now again.
I pushed but don’t see the change
After the Push card says “Pushed to your app”, your app has the change, but each place shows it on its own schedule:
| Where you’re looking | What to do |
|---|---|
| The thread you pushed | Check that the Push card says “Pushed to your app”. If it shows another outcome, find that message on this page. |
| The preview | If the status says Newer version, reload the page. For other statuses, see Troubleshoot the preview. |
| Your app’s share link | Pushing updates your app for everyone who opens its link. If the link still shows the older version, see Troubleshoot sharing and phone installs. |
| Another thread | To bring in the change now, click Bring it in now on that thread’s Your app card. To bring it in when you push that thread, click Later. |
| Your app in the App Store or Google Play | Store apps receive pushed changes in your next release. See Release an update. |
