Browser storage
FlutterFlow keeps the settings on this page in the browser you use, not in your account, so another browser or device starts with its own.
Preferences
Preferences stay in the browser where you set them.
| Preference | Where you set it | Kept for |
|---|---|---|
| Theme (Light, Dark, or System) | The account menu. See Change the theme. | This browser, whoever signs in. A browser with no choice saved uses System. |
| The preview’s size | Standard size or Fill the stage in the preview. See Preview tools. | This browser |
| Screens width | Wider or Narrower in Screens. See Make Screens wider. | This browser |
| Whether the preview is hidden beside a wide page | The Show the app button (Hide the app while the preview is showing) | This browser tab only. A new tab shows the preview. |
| How the thread list looks | View options above the thread list. See Filter the list. | Each app, in this browser |
| The command palette’s Recent commands | Running commands in the palette. See Command palette. | Your account, in this browser. Signing out, or another account signing in, clears the list. |
| Last used on the sign-in page | Signing in. See Sign in. | This browser |
Guides and notices
FlutterFlow remembers the guides, first-time messages, and notices that you’ve seen or put away only in the browser where you saw them.
| Guide or notice | What the browser keeps | Kept for |
|---|---|---|
| The built-in guides | Which guides have already opened. A guide that opens by itself does so only the first time you visit its area. See Guides. | Your account, in this browser |
| How FlutterFlow works under your first version | That you clicked Hide. | Your account, in this browser |
| What’s new | Which entries you’ve seen, so the New chip appears only for later ones. See What’s new. | Your account, in this browser |
| The welcome question | That you answered it. See Welcome question. | Your account, in this browser |
| The celebration for your first app and your first push | That it played. | Your account, in this browser |
| Unread threads | When you last opened each thread, so a thread that finished since reads as unread. See Status rings. | Each app, in this browser |
| A Question or Choice card you closed with Stop here after its turn ended | That you put the card away. See Stop here. | This browser |
| The long-thread Suggestion card | That you clicked Not now after a push. See Long threads. | This browser, for that push |
| The card at the top of Home on a phone, such as Get the FlutterFlow app or Turn on notifications | That you tapped Not now (×). See Use on a phone. | This browser |
Checklists
The choices that you make in the Road to launch and in Releases stay in your browser, and your teammates’ lists don’t change. See Your choices stay in this browser.
| Choice | Where you make it | Kept for |
|---|---|---|
| Hiding the Road to launch | Hide from Overview. See Hide Road to launch. | Each app, in this browser |
| Steps you turn off in Releases | Steps for this app. See Turn steps on or off. | Each app, in this browser |
| Not offering the Android build | I only have an iPhone in On your phone. See Only an iPhone. | Each app, in this browser |
Unsent drafts
A message that you’ve typed in a thread but not sent stays in the browser where you typed it, and it doesn’t follow you to another browser or device.
| Draft | What happens to it |
|---|---|
| Words in a thread’s message box | Each thread keeps its own draft. The draft stays when you leave the thread or reload the page, and it clears when you send it. |
| Words for a new thread | The app keeps one draft for a new thread until you send its first message. |
| Files that you attached but haven’t sent | Kept only while the page stays open. Reloading the page removes them, and the words stay. |
| Words in the box where you describe a new app | Kept at most in this browser tab, so a new tab starts with an empty box. Files that you attached there are kept only while the page stays open. |
